As mentioned in the last post, The Din is a novel based largely on songs by the band ‘The Ditty Bops,’ and the title, as well as the basis of the novel itself, is pulled from a line from the chorus of this song, “Growing Upside Down.”
The line itself: “I can hear you whispering/beneath the din/it reels me in”
